Pilates

Modified Pilates is rehabilitation based Pilates training. Pilates can help in the treatment of neck and shoulder pain, back, pelvic and hip pain.

Each client requires individual assessment before they can start a class to enable the physiotherapist to draw up an individual exercise programme for their level of ability and to teach them the basic principles of Pilates.

Class sizes are small to ensure that safe and correct exercises are done by all participants.

Clothing should be stretchable and comfortable. All equipment, including mats, will be provided for you at the class.

Classes are held at the Physiotherapy and Pilates clinic at 75 New Street, Altrincham, WA14 2QP.  With the exception of Wednesday evenings (5.30pm – 9.00pm) where they will be held at 161d Ashley Rd, Hale, WA15 9SD as from 15th February 2012

Classes are for 1 hour

It is suitable for people with previous Pilates experience, as a progression from the level 1 class and for those people who want to incorporate core stability training into their current exercise regime.
Level 3 Class – This is a further progression onto more advanced exercises and the increased use of small equipment. The class is suitable for those people with a great deal of Pilates experience.
Sports Level – This class is for the hardened Pilates enthusiast.  A harder pace than level 3 and increased use of equipment.
